The All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up a five-man disciplinary panel to investigate its Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Timi Frank.
The chairman of the committee, Solomon Edoja said while speaking to journalists said the committee was to consider a petition by Aneka Akpabio against Timi Frank.
“We are also going to invite the petitioner because the legal procedure is that you have to hear from both sides before you can reach a decision. We are going to subject our recommendations to the zonal executive committee for ratification,” he said.
Edoja said going by Article21 (B) Sub-section 2 of the party, a committee should be constituted within seven days once petitions had been received. He said the task of the committee, which would be an open session, would be carried out within two weeks.
“The APC wants to tell the world that the party is supreme. Our constitution is supreme. If there are infractions, we have to follow due process,” he added.
