The All Progressives Congress’ National Working Committee is set to meet senators on the platform of the party on Tuesday to discuss the ongoing debacle between the Senate and top officials of the Buhari administration.

The Party said this in a statement by its spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi.

“Worried by the worsening relationship between the two arms of government, the party had embarked on a series of consultations with the key actors aimed at resolving the growing impasse.

“The party, however, warns that it would not hesitate to take appropriate action against any member whose utterances or behaviour are capable of jeopardising the peace initiatives or further worsening the existing situation,” the APC said.

Early this week the senate postponed the confirmation hearing of Resident Electoral Commissioners for the Independent National Electoral Commission sent to it by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Senate has also been having a running battle with Customs boss, Hameed Ali over his refusal to wear uniform.
