Army kills 4 kidnappers in Bauchi

The Nigerian Army says its troops killed four kidnappers in Bauchi.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Army spokesman Colonel Sani Usman, the Army said it recovered dangerous weapons as well as hard drugs from the kidnappers.

The statement read, “Yesterday (Monday), troops of 33 Brigade Forward Operations Base Burra, Bauchi State based on information received from well meaning and good citizens, laid an ambush for suspected kidnappers from Sabon Kura village, Ningi Local Government Area.

“The kidnappers were on their way to Diwwa village for kidnapping activities.

“The troops engaged the kidnappers and after exchange of gunfire, four kidnappers were confirmed dead.

‘The team recovered three dane guns, one cutlass, three telephone handsets, some quantity of hard drugs and local charms from the kidnappers.”
