The Kano state government has been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons.
And you can’t separate the government of a state from its governor. The state government has begun investigating the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II over allegations of misappropriation of funds.
One of the reasons given by the State House Assembly for the investigation was because of the Emir’s public condemnation of some of Governor Umar Ganduje’s policies. This probe just shows how low the Governor is willing to go in stopping Sanusi from voicing his opinion on issues.
Governor Ayodele Fayose may have been quiet all week, but no other governor seems to have done anything remarkable in the past week.
From best to worst, we bring you our weekly effectiveness rankings of Nigerian governors.
