This is how Fashola responded to corruption allegations yesterday

Non-response- ‘a failure or refusal to respond’.

The immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, was put on the spot, when asked questions on the allegations of corruption levelled against him, on Thursday.

Fashola was the guest speaker at the 16th Bishop Mike Okonkwo Annual Lecture, where he was ambushed by a journalist from The SUN, during the question-and-answer session.

The inquisitive reporter, Chika Abanobi, asked Fashola to respond to the recent allegations of corruption, specifically the N78m the former governor supposedly spent on his personal website.

The hall was said to have suddenly gotten uncomfortable for the guests on the high table, as they empathized with Fashola.

Ace comedian/master of ceremony, Tee A, attempted to trivialize the question, by saying: “Mr. SUN, continue standing in the Sun.”

After Fashola recovered from initial shock from the question, he responded, “To the man in The SUN, I don’t respond to allegations on the pages of newspapers.”
