BBNaija stars BamBam and Ifu Ennada to star in ‘Hire a Woman’

Chinneylove Eze has recruited Big Brother Naija alum BamBam and Ifu Ennada for Hire a Woman, an upcoming sequel to Hire a Man released in 2016. The first movie was directed by Desmond Elliot, a romantic comedy that revolved around a simple, somewhat relatable plot – a woman hires a man to pose as her fiancé at a family event following her younger sister’s engagement. Hire a Man starred Elliot himself, Ghanaian actress Zynnell Zuh, IK Ogbonna, Keppy Ekpeyong, Enyinna Nwigwe, Nancy Isime, Bayray Mcnwizu, Shaffy Bello and Daniel Lloyd.

The sequel, though, is shuffling its cast with new members – Ray Emordi, Mercy Mac Joe, Alexx Ekubo, Mike Godson while Enyinna Nwigwe and Nancy Isime are reprising their roles. The plot details for the sequel flips the script. This time, a man hires a woman to pose as his fiancée at a family event. This isn’t Ifu Ennada’s first Nollywood role. Her acting career predated her reality television fame, making appearances in shows and in the award-winning, C.J. Obasi-directed movie O-Town. Her short film Tears Of A Broken Virgin was released last year.

BamBam’s foray into Nollywood piggybacked off her Big Brother Naija fame, with the forthcoming movie Foreigner’s God. Hire a Woman hits cinemas next year.
