The Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal filed by the PDP challenging the election of Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki.

The court said the suit lacked merit, stating that it would give full details for its decision on July 24.

A seven man panel led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onneghen unanimously dismissed the appeal.

Onnoghen said the panel had earlier gone through the brief, aiding quick judgment on the matter.

PDP candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu had approached the apex court, after the Appeal court dismissed.
