A bomb explosion by a female suicide bomber at College of Islamic and Legal studies, Kano State, has left six dead with six others injured.
Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, Mike Omeri, who confirmed the incident said; “At about 2.30 pm (1330 GMT), another female suicide bomber exploded an improvised explosive device at the Kano State polytechnic leaving six persons dead”
Witnesses who were at the scene said that the female suicide bomber detonated the bomb within the school premises where some students had gone to collect their call up letters for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) posting.
This is the fourth time in a week that bomb explosions has involved at least three different female bombers. On Sunday, an explosion occurred at Saint Charles Catholic Church, killing 5 people. Two other explosions were reported on Monday. All off these explosions have been reportedly carried out by young females.
The re-occurring incident of female suicide bombers, raises concern over the safety of the abducted Chibok girls.
