President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday hosted members of the National Youth Service Corps serving in Daura, his hometown.
President Buhari who posted a picture of the visit of the corps members on his personal Twitter account, @MBuhari said he always appreciated General Yakubu Gowon for initiating the scheme.
He said, “Youth Corpers serving in Daura visited me at home this afternoon.
“Every time I see Gen Yakubu Gowon, I thank him for the NYSC, a worthy scheme that allows young Nigerians to see their country in new ways.”
The Presidency also shared a short video of the corpers visit on its Twitter account.
