Buhari to present 2017 budget to National Assembly on December 14

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday wrote to the Senate seeking an audience with the joint session of the National Assembly for the presentation of the Appropriation Bill for the 2017 fiscal year.

The letter was read on the floor of the Senate by Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

President Buhari said the joint session was needed to officially brief the Legislators on, “the 2017 budget proposal and plans to get the country out of recession.”

The President is expected to address the National Assembly on Wednesday, December 14.

Recall that the Senate President, Bukola Saraki had promised an early passage of the budget.
