A fire incident has occurred in the Maitama, Abuja residence of Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Residents were said to have raised an alarm in the wee hours of Friday, when a heavy smoke was noticed from inside the Senate President’s gymnasium.
No casualty was reported, as fire service officials were said to have put out the fire.
Saraki’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, has also confirmed the incident.
Olaniyonu said the fire was caused by an electric spark from one of the air conditioners in the gymnasium.
