Caitlyn Jenner has religious naming ceremony

Caitlyn Jenner had a naming ceremony on Thursday.

The 65-year-old star – who was known as Bruce before her transition – was officially named by a minister in a spiritual event by the swimming pool of her Malibu home, two months after she revealed her new identity on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

The ceremony saw Caitlyn, who was wearing a short white dress, give a speech, while ‘Karma Chameleon’ hitmaker and transgender actress Candis Cayne both performed.

A day before the ritual took place, Caitlyn’s new pal Boy George praised her for her courage in transitioning, saying he was thrilled by the reception she’s had from the general public because it shows people are more accepting than when he was at the height of his fame in the 1980s.

He told Yahoo: “It’s that world I was fighting for in 1984. That was what I wanted. I wanted people not to care about whether you were gay, straight, black, white, transgender, whatever it may be.”

However, only some of the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star’s pals were there, as the event was held on the same day his youngest daughter Kylie Jenner celebrated her graduation from school with a huge party hosted by her mother, Caitlyn’s ex-wife, Kris Jenner.
