Suicide bomber caught in Cameroon says she’s among Chibok girls

A female suicide bomber arrested in northern Cameroon, before she could blow herself up, has revealed that she’s one of the 270 Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents.

According to a recent report by Reuters, military and government sources in Cameroon disclosed that local self-defense forces intercepted two girls carrying explosives in the village of Limani.

The girls have since been handed over to troops of the multi-national force while the claim by one of them to be a member of the abducted Chibok girls, is being investigated.

In April 2014, a group of Boko Haram insurgents kidnapped about 270 from their secondary school in Chibok.

In spite of the worldwide empathy for their plight and the efforts of the Nigerian military, almost 2 years later, majority of the girls are still missing.
