Senator Dino Melaye is set to file a N5 billion libel suit against an online media platform, Sahara Reporters, Vanguard reports.
Melaye, the senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District is lodging the suit over what he termed alleged defamation of character, wrongful accusation, among other charges.
According to his media office, the suit will be filed at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court, at 9am on Thursday.
When contacted for confirmation the vocal senator admitted that all was set to file the suit in the morning.
The medium had alleged that Melaye did not graduate from the Department of Geography of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
