Chelsea reportedly in talks to sign Messi

As the summer transfer season intensifies, the Sun reports that Chelsea owner, Roman Abramvoich had a meeting with Lionel Messi‘s father, Gorge in regards to considering a possible move of the Barcelona forward.

According to the newspaper, the meeting was conducted aboard the Russian billionaire’s yacht.

Chelsea are rumoured to be prepared to offer Barcelona around £110 million for the signature of the 29-year-old.

The Fulham-based club are willing to offer Messi a huge wage deal better than his current one with the Catalonia club which currently stands at £600,000 a week.

Although Manchester City’s new manager Pep Guardiola has made it clear he won’t be chasing his former player’s signature, the club is rumoured to be making discreet moves which includes offering Messi a £800,000 a week wage contract.
