Hello Chika, how about “Puff Puff” and “Samosa”? OK. I guess we are suppose to take Chika Ike’s new movie title seriously. Back in April, the producer took to Instagram and posted a picture of herself seated at a dinner table, on which sat teacups and jars and a plate of fruits. Put another way: there was a lot of consumables. Telling her followers that the clue of her next movie title is right there in the picture, she further encouraged them with a monetary incentive of N50,000.
She would later reveal the title as Small Chops, with subsequent posts explaining the meaning: A female or male who is in a short term relationship with a single or married person for the purpose of satisfying sexual needs or monetary gains. Going by this, we’ve all been Small Chops in our lives, and this is something I’d be thinking about for some time. Earlier in the week on Instagram, Chika revealed Robert Peters as the film’s director, and reeled out names like Nkem Owoh, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Toyin Abraham, Lolo Omotunde and Eucharia Anunobi as members of the cast.
Since playing a minor role in the 2005 film Sweet Love, Chika has gone ahead to star in a plethora of films (Bless the Child, Paradise, Mirror of Beauty), and building a portfolio of experience and starting her own production company Flip Script Studios. Small Chops is currently in production, and Chika has said the movie will “blow our minds.” Oh puh-leeze. We don’t want our minds blown. Just do a decent movie without technical glitches, Chika. She even has the crew eating small chops on the set. LMAO
