“Daddy, can I go with you?” | Trump says Ivanka asked to join him on North Dakota trip

One of the numerous things that imposes joy is a father spending time with his child, no matter how grown. In addition, when such a father has the opportunity to work with the child or involve him/her in his business, then it is undoubtedly an opportunity to relish. Such is the case with President Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka.

President Trump appointed Ivanka as a White House adviser upon assumption to office and since then, he has involved her on many crucial undertakings such as sitting in for him at gatherings of G20 leaders and accompanying the President on many official adventures.

The President has often relied on Ivanka to soften his image both during the electioneering campaign and now in calling the shots at the helm.

The latest event in which Trump demonstrated this was during Wednesday’s speech on Tax reform in North Dakota. Trump invited Ivanka on stage noting in personal terms that the first daughter and White House adviser asked if she could travel with him.

The President said, “By the way, Ivanka Trump. Everybody loves Ivanka. Sometimes they’ll say, ‘You know, he can’t be that bad a guy’ — look at Ivanka”. “No, come on up, honey. She’s so good. She wanted to make the trip.”

She said, “Daddy, can I go with you? I said, ‘Yes, you can.’ ‘Where are you going?’ ‘North Dakota,” Trump added.

The President then encouraged his daughter to address the crowd. Mounting the stage amidst warm applause from the crowd, She said, “hi to the state ‘we love’, it is a pleasure to be back here.” “You treated us very very well in November and have continued to, We like sharing the love back,” she said.

Trump while pulling his daughter back for a kiss then said “thank you, honey; thank you, baby”.

“And she means it. Believe me,” he stressed.

Ivanka Trump accompanied her father aboard Air Force One from Washington to Bismarck alongside Chief of Staff John Kelly, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Sen. John Hoeven, Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, and Rep. Kevin Cramer.
