When Dakore got married to Olumide Akande in 2011, many of her fans thought they had seen the last of her on the screen. The feelers coming from the couple only solidified these fears.

Well, after taking a long break from acting, Dakore Egbusun Akande is set to thrill fans in her upcoming movie Journey to Self.

Journey to Self , written and produced by Ashionye Michelle Raccah, is “an intense story of friendship, sacrifice, empowerment, and self-respect”.

According to Raccah, the movie took 13 months to make and she is proud of what had been achieved during that period. In addition to Akande, the new movie features Nse Ikpe-Etim, Carol King, Kalu Ikeagwu, Femi Jacobs, Chris Attah, and others. The movie introduces Katherine Edoho, radio/ TV presenter and estranged wife of Frank Edoho, Who Wants to be a Millionaire host.

Journey to Self is scheduled to premier later this year.
