A short while ago (Ok, maybe a long time ago), Demi Moore was the undisputed queen of Hollywood. She was the first woman to earn a $10million paycheck and had hit movies like ‘Ghosts’ and ‘Indecent Proposal’ to her credit. She married one of the biggest action stars, Bruce Willis and was at the top of her game.

By the year 2005, she had been dethroned from her perch atop Hollywood’s power list, her marriage to Willis was history and she had married a young actor 15 years her junior, by name Ashton Kutcher and was back to making movies after a hiatus. Everything seemed swell till last year when sections of the media began to report cracks in the couple’s relationship. They announced their separation shortly afterwards and since then it seems her life- personal and professional has taken a downward spiral.

On Friday 27, January, the star of ‘G.I Jane’ and ‘Ghosts’ was hospitalized after an unidentified friend made a 911 call from her L.A home. Explaining further, the friend said, ‘’She smoked something. It’s not marijuana… it’s similar to incense. She seems to be having convulsions. We need an ambulance here as soon as possible.’’

Since them different rumours have been circulating about the cause of her hospital admission but her rep later released a statement, ‘’Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health.’’

But that wasn’t all. WhileMoore, 49, was recuperating, she was quickly replaced in an upcoming film project, proving once more that Hollywoodhas a short memory, one minute you’re in, the next you are out.

Producers of the biopic, ‘Lovelace’ about a popular 70’s porn star announced tha tMoorehad been replaced by Sarah Jessica Parker of ‘Sex and the city fame. The film stars Amanda Seyfried in the lead role and is currently filming in Los Angeles.

Could she be having a meltdown? Can it be traced to the Ashton Kutcher split?
