EFCC files charges against Justice Fishim of the Industrial Court

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has filed a criminal charge against Justice Agbadu James Fishim of the National Industrial Court (NIC) over allegations unlawful enrichment to the tune of N4.8 million.

The charges were filed before the Lagos State High Court sitting in Igbosere.

Fishim was one of those who were recently recalled from suspension by the National Judicial Conucil (NJC).

He was slammed with a 19 counts of unlawful enrichment by a public official contrary to section 82(a) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, No.11, 2011.

The judge is alleged to have received money from seven Senior Advocates of Nigeria and a law firm between June 2013 and August 2015.

The anti-graft agency gave the names of the senior advocates as: Felix Fagboungbe, Paul Usoro, Enobong Etteh, Uche Obi, Muiz Banire, Adeniyi Akintola, Gani Adetola-Kaseem, Joseph Nwobike and Alliance Law Firm.
