Emir of Mubi infers that APC has been deceiving Nigerians

The Emir of Mubi, Isah Ahamdu, has advised members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop deceiving the electorate if they hope to succeed.

Ahamdu issued the counsel when he hosted an entourage of APC members led by the state acting chairman, Ibrahim Bilal, in his palace in Mubi.

“Stop deceiving the electorate if you want your party to succeed in Nigeria. The era of deceit is passed, you must keep to your words. As a father to all of you here, if I cannot tell you the truth then I am not a good father.”

“I advise you politicians to do what is right and sometimes do what your electorate want and not only what you want them to do.”

The Emir also urged political parties to stop the practice of imposing candidates on the electorates, saying it not only affects their party, but also the economy of the Nation.

“If political parties will present qualified people with the fear of God to occupy leadership positions in this country, irrespective of religion, gender and status, the problem we are having now would have been very minimal,” he added.
