Empire’s Lucious and Cookie Lyon to get their own show?

Since the last season of the show, there have been rumours circulating that Empire characters Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) and Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) may be getting a spin-off from the series.

Well it looks that it might just be happening in the near future, going by what the show’s executive producer Ilene Chaiken told reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour on Monday when asked about the rumoured spin-off.

She was quoted as saying, “There certainly could be and we talk about it. I think the show offers so many opportunities. There are potential spin-offs with Lucious and Cookie’s characters, sure.”

A Lucious Lyon and Cookie Lyon spin-off? Sounds interesting already.
