The Federal Government has suspended Dr Emeka Enejere with immediate effect. This comes after the proposed and controversial end of the 5 month-old strike embarked upon by the Academic Union of Universities (ASUU).

The decision was expressed in a statement signed by Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu, the Special Assistant on Media to the Supervising Minister of Education, Chief Nyesom Wike.

Enejere was appointed as the Chairman of UNN Governing Council in April this year.
