In this photo, South African Olympic racer Oscar Pistorious fondly called the ‘blade runner’ is seen about to race Ellie Challs Essex, England who lost all four of her limbs to a severe case of meningitis at 16 months.

Pistorious who is a double amputee made it to the semi-final of the men’s 400m event at last year’s London 2012 Olympic Games becoming an inspiration to many.

In a week, Pistorious plummeted from grace and recent reports  and photos of the ‘blade runner’ shows a man less of a hero or an inspiration with no courage making it difficult to believe he was brimming with pride and promise a few months ago.

He shot his 29-year-old girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s morning claiming he thought it was an intruder but some people are skeptical about the accident believing it could have been murder.
