A 12-year-old Russian girl took her own life after her parents found pornography on her computer. Referred to simply as Dasha L., authorities said she came from a “well-to-do” family.

The girl allegedly jumped from the family’s 14th-floor apartment after an argument she had with her parents over the pornography they found on her computer. “There is an ongoing investigation. We aren’t excluding the possibility of bringing up charges on inciting a suicide,” officials said.

Having porn on one’s computer is apparently an offense in Russia following the country’s reason being dependent “On Protecting Children From Information Harmful to Their Health and Development” law, which blacklists websites, and imposes fines and suspensions on anyone distributing content deemed harmful to children.

However, it’s unclear if this was the reason for the argument and suicide.
