God’s Own State, Abia is trending for housing a ‘Church of Satan’ and more

Abia State

South-Eastern State, Abia, is on the lips of many following a report of an arrested man who happened to be the leader of a different kind of church that many would agree is strange to Nigerians.

Ifekwe Udo a.k.a Lucifer or Fada-Fada was reportedly arrested, and his church, The Assemblies of Light Bearer Greater Church of Lucifer demolished after Police alleged that he had faulted lockdown orders. Following the news of his arrest, locals took matters to hands and went further to demolish his church.

According to Police reports, Ifekwe had been trafficking children and terrorising the community.

Reacting to the story, some Twitter users expressed their happiness following Ifekwe’s arrest as locals shared some ways he has been created fear on both members of his church and residents of the area.

One Twitter user who is also from the said local government where he was arrested – Ohafia, shared that Ifekwe, had however been helpful to youths in the past by providing job opportunities for them.

The Internationally recognised Church of Satan, however, sent out a tweet in reaction to this update dissociating themselves from the arrested Abia-based Pastor.

Another development that has triggered the Abia State trend on Twitter is the recent report on the flooding of the Ariaria International Market following a heavy downpour. Many, reacting to this update are calling out the state government for poor governance and corruption.

Sharing photos and videos on the sight, Twitter users have blamed the government for not doing just well enough to improve living conditions of the people as they demanded better leadership.

Some however, opined that this trend should be a wake-up call for residents of the state to realise that there is a need for them to hold their leaders accountable for the poor state of their lands.
