Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom, has expressed pride in his former profession as a motor park worker.
The Governor, on Tuesday, said that he is a proud member of the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers and will work towards ensuring that he doesn’t disappoint the group.
Ortom said this while speaking with the executive members of the NURTW, Benue State Council, at the Benue People’s House.
The governor said he isn’t ashamed to identify with the group as it was where he started his life from.
Ortom also called on the NURTW to give him their maximum support so he can move Benue state forward.
He called on the transport workers to venture into agriculture as oil practice continue to stumble, saying that farming practices pay more than any other business within Nigeria.
