A selection of Port Harcourt’s finest and some special guests from without were present at the opening of Touches PLUS last week. The classy store is the second of its type to be opened, as Touches first opened it doors to residents of the Garden City in 1999. Shola Olowokure, the name behind the fast growing brand started his boutique business in 1997 when he opened his first store in Warri, and has since not looked back.
Situated in central Port Harcourt, Touches PLUS has an impressive array of designer shoes, clothes, belts, perfumes, and other accessories from Italy, the UK and the US. “We have some few stuffs for ladies but we do more of men stuff,” Olowokure says.
“I could tell you I grew up with fashion because my mum was a sewing mistress in the sixties,” he confesses. “I used to join her after school hours in her sewing institute as a school boy.” Shola says his long term vision is to create and recreate a “brand new designer shopping experience for local and even international shoppers.”
Shola is commited and highly motivated to provide the best for his clientele. “The only thing that motivate me is the flair I have for fashion. I feel good when I see people wearing my shoes or clothes and besides, that I enjoy what I do.”
Touches plus is located on the second floor of i-Cinemas on Stadium Road, Port Harcourt. Here are some of the pictures from the grand opening of his new store:
