Here’s how Nigerian Twitter is reacting to the suspension of accounts belonging to digital influencers

So today, Twitter came for Nigerian Twitter and suspended some accounts. This is almost in the vein of Twitter’s recent official attempt at purging suspicious accounts of bots to restore confidence in the platform. And although I’m not certain of the exact number, I’m gleefully excited that the account belonging to Kelvin Odanz was seized by Twitter’s suspension rampage.

Odanz, who is arguably the firm, vociferous leader of the anti-feminist squad on Nigerian Twitter, promptly created another account @MrOdanz, only for it to be suspended again. Funny as hell. Other victims in this social media rapture include the digital marketer Chemical Brother @chemicalbroda; co-host of the puerile, tragically bad Twitter series #NoDragMyGender and social media influencer Princess Ife @ife_luv12; as well @Mac_nels, @ClintonViceB, @Uchybaba, @Veinzell, @Rovieloffical, @thatudiboy and @Chris_Goth, who latches onto the daily churn on Twitter and tries to gain a viral overload.

These accounts are all managed by digital influencers, or wannabes. And Nigerians have made light of the situation, resorting to their unmistakable humour.
