A teenager now 19 has narrated how she became a sex slave at the age of 11.

She told the Old Bailey court while giving evidence at the trial of nine men accused of grooming children and exploiting them for sex in Oxford of how she was seduced by an older man at the age of 11.

She said she was raped by Mohammed Karrar, 38, in 2005 aged 11 years old. According to her story, she went to a flat “to chill” and said she was given drink and drugs, then raped.

She became pregnant just after her 12th birthday, it was said.

She was taken to an underground clinic where an illegal abortion was performed on her using an instrument resembling a crochet hook, she said.

She recalled when she told him she was pregnant, ‘ it got into a bit of a squabbling argument thing,’ she said. ‘It got quite abusive. He was f***ing fuming. He said I should have been a bit more responsible.

‘He went crazy at me. I had a slap and then he had his hand on my throat – not proper strangling, but he shoved me.’

Karrar of Kames Close, Oxford with his brother Bassam Karrar, 33, denied the 51 charges including rape and trafficking from 2004 to 2012.

Other men who also denied the allegations included, Kamar Jamil, 27, Assad Hussain, 32, Mohammed Hussain, 24, Zeeshan Ahmed, 27 and 26years old  Bilal Ahmed.

In court the witness, who for legal reasons cannot be identified, said she fell in love with Karrar and believed they were in a relationship.

The BBC reports:

‘No choice’

“At the time I thought it was my choice and it was fine, but years on I can see I never had a choice,” she said.

“He told me he loved me. He said he would take me to Saudi Arabia when I was 15 and marry me.

“I believed him at the time.”

She said she was also introduced to other men and told to perform sex acts on them.

The witness is one of six alleged victims in the case and, like one of the others, she claimed she was forced to have an illegal abortion in a back-room in Reading.

The trial is expected to last until April. The defendants are all in custody.
