I have nothing to do with Maina’s recall | Malami tells Reps

Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami has insisted that he didn’t approve the reinstatement of former chairman of the presidential task force on pension reform, Abdulrasheed Maina.

Malami said this on Thursday when he appeared before a house of representatives committee probing Maina’s reinstatement.

Malami added that some politicians and lawmakers were involved in the pension fraud.

“As of February 21, Maina’s issue was a work of progress,” Malami said.

“The letter giving clear directives on his reinstatement couldn’t have genuinely emanated from my office.”
