‘I’m staying at Roma’ | Radja Nainggolan breaks Chelsea hearts

Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has maintained that he is not going anywhere amid strong interest from Chelsea.

New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is big fan of the midfield maestro and had plans of bringing him to Stamford Bridge.

Despite the two clubs being in talks over the player’s future with a deal reported to being struck in April, the player has opted against a move away from the Seria A club after a meeting with its sporting director, Walter Sabatini.

He revealed his decision to reporters on Thursday morning.

“I met with Sabatini and everything went well,” he told reporters.

“I am staying at Roma,” he declared

Nainggolan joined Roma on loan from Cagliari in January 2014 before his move became permanent in June 2015. He has since risen to be a key figure at the Stadio Olimpico.

He currently has a contract with Roma till June 2020.
