It’s time for ‘Real Talk’! Biodun Shobanjo, Leke Alder & others to speak at MTV marketing seminar

MTV Networks Africa present’s ‘Real Talk’, an innovative marketing seminar for brands and organizations that will target the Nigerian youth. The one-day event will feature a seminar, executive discussions and a presentation on ‘youth marketing best practice, strategy and tactics including events, branding, content creation, digital marketing and street marketing’.

Biodun Shobanjo, the Chairman of the Troyka Group, joins other influential entrepreneurs and businesspersons who will engage with the participants, including Alex Okosi, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, MTV Networks Africa; Ben Murray-Bruce, Chairman, Silverbird Group and Leke Alder, Principal, Alder Consulting.

A truly remarkable businessman, Biodun Shobanjo’s investment holding company comprises of several businesses including The Quadrant Company (Public Relations), Optimum Exposures (Out-of-home advertising), All Seasons Mediacom and Media Perspectives (media independents), Azzagai (a through-the-line agency) and Halogen Security (asset protection and resource management). In May 2009, Newswatch nominated him as one of the 50 Notable Leaders in Corporate Nigeria in 2008 and the first quarter of 2009. In 2009, Mr Shobanjo became the host and CEO of the first and only season of the TV reality programme ‘The Apprentice Africa’, which aired in 6 African countries.

According to Alex Okosi, ‘Real Talk is designed to help brands and marketers understand the most productive and authentic ways to interact with the Nigerian youth demographic. Tapping into the broad experience of the panelists and utilizing case studies, Real Talk will provide a compelling overview on how to connect, convert and retain the youth’.

This forum will take place on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
