Over-speeding caused accident which killed James Ocholi – FRSC

The impact of the accident which killed the deceased Minister of Labour and Employment, would have been at a lower intensity, if James Ocholi and his family had used seat belts at the rear seats, which they occupied.

This was disclosed on Wednesday, by the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Boboye Oyeyemi while presenting an interim report of the accident to the Federal Executive Council at the presidential villa in Abuja.

The Corp Marshal said the investigations carried out by the agency revealed that over-speeding was the main cause of the accident which killed Ocholi, his wife and son.

Oyeyemi further disclosed that the interim investigation of the agency showed that the driver of Ocholi’s SUV had no license.

He attributed the cause of the accident to over-speeding while adding that the commission could not locate the name of the driver in its database.
