JTF invades Delta villages, arrest 6 for pipeline bombing

Nigerian military operatives, on Sunday morning, invaded Ogulagha, in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, arresting a chief and five other persons in the process.

According to Vanguard, the men were arrested by the soldiers in connection with last Thursday’s bombing of Shell Nigeria Petroleum Company owned Forcados 48 Export Line by the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA).

Those arrested by the security operatives include: a notable leader in Ogulagha Kingdom, Chief Peter Tuasinde; chairman of Ogulagha community, Captain Prebor Solomon and Public Relations Officer of the community, Henry Agedigba, who had gone to inquire from the Joint Task Force, JTF, in the Niger Delta, why they raided the community and apprehended his kinsmen.

Others arrested include: S. J. Abed Catering Company in Forcados Terminal, Mr. John Borme; a businessman, Mr. Clement Ibada, and Ejor Burutu, who reportedly showed them the houses of persons they mentioned.

According to the report, the soldiers invaded the community at 8:20 am .
