Kano State House of Assembly has set up an eight-man ad-hoc committee to investigate allegations leveled against the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II.
Sanusi has been accused of mismanaging N4 billion he inherited from his predecessor, Ado Bayero.
Ibrahim Gama, representing Nasarawa constituency of the state, moved a motion on urgent public importance and a resolve to probe the Emir was reached.

Gama said the monarch spent funds without the approval of the governor of Kano, Umar Ganduje, attacked the policies of the Buhari-led administration, and also sent his daughter to represent him without full traditional regalia.
The house adopted the motion after it was put to voice vote by the speaker, Alhassan Rurum.
The chief whip of the house, Labaran Abdul Madari will chair the eight-man committee which is expected to report back in two weeks for further legislative action.
