Kiki Mordi is a 35-year-old Nigerian investigative journalist, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and writer who first gained international prominence for her work with BBC Africa Eye on a documentary exposing the impact of sexual harassment in Nigerian universities. In 2016, she won the Outstanding Radio Program Presenter (South-South) award at the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards and started an online petition to stop the extortion and exploitation of youths by Nigerian policemen.
She also produced a documentary film, “Life at the Bay in Lagos, Nigeria.” The film tells the story of the inhabitants of Tarkwa Bay and the survival and struggles of their women. The film was later selected by the Real Time International Film Festival. In 2020, Kiki was listed as one of the Most Influential Young Africans alongside Alex Iwobi, Adekunle Gold, and Falz
Kiki Mordi is known as one of the most prominent feminists and digital activists in Nigeria and has won The Future Awards Africa for Journalism and the People Journalism Prize for Africa, both for her work in journalism.
