There are reports that the former FCT Minister, Nasir el-Rufai might be under some form of house arrest.
el-Rufai who has been a vocal opponent of the President Goodluck Jonathan administration and a staunch member of the opposition, All Progressives Congress (APC) tweeted early on Saturday about being under “unlawful detention” but has not expatiated on his post.

In the midst of a phone interview with AIT's Obiora Ilo, the SSS forcefully and unlawfully seized the phone thus abruptly end the interview.

Sources say el-Rufai was held in his hotel in Awka, the capital of Anambra State where he has gone to act as an observer in the governorship election currently underway in the south east state.
Dr. Chris Ngige of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is contesting the election against Willie Obiano (APGA), Emeka Nwoye (PDP), and Ifeanyi Ubah (LP).
