Kachikwu, Ngige to meet with PENGASSAN over proposed strike

As the crisis in the petroleum sector continues to grow, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen. Chris Ngige and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, will on Thursday meet with representatives of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association (PENGASSAN) of Nigeria on Thursday.

According to a statement released, on Wednesday, and signed by the Deputy Director (Press) Ministry of Labour, the minister will be meeting with PENGASSAN to discuss the issue plaguing the oil and gas industry.

The meeting is scheduled to hold at 10am in Abuja.

PENGASSAN had threatened to embark on a nationwide industrial action beginning on Wednesday.
