‘Kachikwu will meet with President Buhari today over his leaked memo’

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu has reportedly got an appointment with President Muhammadu Buhari today, October 5, over his leaked memo.


  • The Minister wrote a petition against the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru to Buhari. In the letter, Kachikwu alleged that Baru was guilty of insubordination.
  • The letter was leaked but Kachikwu described that as distressing – considering it was a personal letter.
