After just over half a month spent missing, 6-year-old Kosisochukwu Akilo was found in Warri, Delta and will soon be returned to her family.
Kosisochukwu was kidnapped on the morning of May 13, 2012, when armed robbers attacked the Akilo household. Unable to get more than a few pieces of jewelry and trinkets, they took the young girl instead. After the kidnapping, nothing was heard from the kidnappers for ten days, causing severe distress to the entire family.
Cruise Nigeria reports that the child has been found in Warri. According to their source, “She was released [yesterday], but she’s still in Warri. Tomorrow she’ll be home. But this is great news, and the entire family is pleased that this horrible dilemma is finally over.”
The circumstances of her captivity remain unknown.
