Lagosians to ride free on BRT buses

BRT Lagos

The government of Lagos state, in a bid to alleviate the pinching pain of fuel scarcity in the country, has offered free transportation to Lagosians during the Easter celebration.

Commuters along the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Bus Franchise Scheme (BFS) corridors would have access to free bus rides for the next 2-days.

Acting Managing Director of Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA, Iyiola Adegboye stated that the initiative was in line with the plan of the government to help commuters move around the state with relative ease in spite the prevalent scarcity of fuel in the land.

The service would be offered on the Ikorodu to CMS corridor by Primero Transport Services Limited while Capetrust Investment Ltd, operator of the BFS would give commuters free rides along the Maryland–Ikeja-Iyana-Ipaja-Ikotun-Igando corridor.
