Save for the fact that the flooding in the Onitsha road is a lot more than that of the road in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, there’s really not much of a difference between them.
We take a look at the roads;
The Lekki Phase 1 road has been taken over by water, hence not so motor-able.
That’s an understatement for the road in Onitsha, which is threatening to submerge vehicles.
Bad drainage system is partially responsible for the flooding of the Lekki Phase 1 road
The same can be said for the Onitsha road, as there seems to be no sign of any form of drainage, whatsoever.
The use of substandard materials for the construction of the Lekki road is more than obvious, another reason why the road breaks, and large pools of rain water is formed.
In spite of the fact that the surface of the Onitsha road is hardly noticeable, it’s safe to assume that it will be an eyesore, if examined.
