Chester Bennington, lead singer of popular rock band, Linkin Park has died at the age of 41.
Police told TMZ that “the singer hanged himself at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County” and his lifeless body was discovered at about 9am Thursday.
The singer who had made his drugs and alcohol addiction public in the past had 6 children from 2 wives.
Linkin Park bandmate, Mike Shinoda confirmed Bennington’s death and said an official statement would be made available as soon as they have one.

Chester Bennington was close friends with singer, Chris Cornell who recently died of apparent suicide.
Linkin Park is famous in these parts for their 2003 hit single, Numb from the chart-topping album, Meteora.
It just goes to show that even the most succesful people have demons they cannot control
