After few months of speculations, Louis Van Gaal has finally been asked to leave by the Manchester United board.
This comes after days after the Dutchman led United to their first FA Cup triumph since 2004 with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
His sack comes as a result of another disappointing season that has seen the club miss out on Champions league.
Jose Mourinho has long been reported to be the one to step into the Manchester United dug-out and Van Gaal’s departure confirmed the speculations which arose on Saturday, few hours to FA Cup final that he would be leaving the club irregardless of the outcome of the match.
It has also been reported that Van Gaal’s assistant and retired Manchester United player, Ryan Giggs might also be leaving the club if the Portuguese is appointed as the new manager.
