A certain wife-beater, Ozoemena Nwankwo, has been arrested by the Enugu State Police, for allegedly beating his pregnant wife to death.
According to reports, Nwankwo regularly beats up his wife, Ndidi, but this time around, he beat the four-months pregnant woman till she lost consciousness.
She sustained a severe injury on her right leg during the beating, and would later give up the ghost after she was rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to the police spokesperson, Ebere Amaraizu, the incident occurred around 10 pm on 17 October, at the couple’s residence in Akpawfu village, Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Amaraizu also added that Nwankwo expressed regrets over the death of his wife, that he never thought his she could lose her life from the beating.
