Man launches Gofundme campaign “to save Reuben Abati from EFCC”

A Nigerian, Ettu Mohammed on Sunday opened a Gofundme fundraising account to “save Reuben Abati from EFCC” in an attempt to mock the ex-presidential aide.

He mockingly wrote that Abati was puahed by “Aso Rockevil spirits” to collect N50 million naira from Sambo Dasuki, former National Security Adviser.

Abati had been granted administrative bail by the EFCC after he was arrested for allegedly receiving N50m from the ex-NSA but has been unable to meet bail terms.

He was required to present a senior federal civil servant – preferably a director – with landed properties in Abuja.

Mohammed is asking for $108,000 for Reuben Abati.

“Reuben Abati the spokesman of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan is under lock and key for voluntarily collecting the sum of 50m Ngn from Sambo Dasuki,” Mr. Mohammed, a staunch supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari wrote on Gofundme.com, an online fundraising platform.

“We believe he must have been under the influence of Aso Rock evil spirit,” he added.

“We are begging Nigerians to save Reuben Abati from detention,” he told Premium Times.

“Two weeks ago, he said there were evil spirits in Aso Rock but he was running around for Goodluck Jonathan to return so that he could continue working on the same place infested by evil spirits.”

Mohammed said Nigerians are angry as no one has donated after 12 hours.
