Why Manchester United’s Angel Di Maria put up his house for sale

by Mark Bassey

Angel Di Maria has put up his mansion at the leafy Cheshire village of Prestbury for sale.

Manchester United fans need not panic that the winger is leaving Old Trafford, as the Argentina international is merely traumatized, after a burglary incident that took place in January this year.

Di Maria was having dinner with his family, when hoodlums tried to break into the stunning property, which has an indoor swimming pool, childrens’ TV room, office, gym, changing rooms and apartment for staff.

He eventually moved into Lowry Hotel, but is understood to have found more long-term alternative accommodation at the Beetham Tower.

The luxury six-bedroom pad is available for £4.15million, but the property owner is willing to rent it out again.

A source said: “It was a very unfortunate scenario and something that is very, very rare. The house is absolutely beautiful.”
