The Media Blog: Pulse is on the move – literally and figuratively

This is the kind of post only those who are crazy about insider-media gist will care about. But that’s why we are here, abi?

After years of heroically managing that choked, tight space in Lekki Phase 1, and teaching all kinds of media entrepreneurs about what it means to manage your expense sheet and keep your outgoings low, no matter how much money you seem to have, Pulse has finally moved offices to a new, much, much bigger space – though also in Lekki Phase 1.

It was inevitable. The team has exploded, not just in Pulse but also in the larger Ringer group, which includes the Ringier Digital Marketing company and its new creative agency.

Everything we know about the inner workings at Pulse makes us smile. Those guys are focused on owning the future, and the move to hand over leadership to the trio of younger guys was the smartest decision they could have made.

They have spent the past few months hiring some truly smart guys like Segun Akande and Samson Toromade; replaced Chuey Chu with a smart, personable guy that every one likes, Hot Pulse is racking up those numbers even if you don’t agree with the strategy, and it’s building the strongest digital brand not named Linda Ikeji, if you ask us.

We’re still betting on these guys.
