The Nigerian Army has rolled in tanks into the Niger Delta region as it continues its operation of ridding the country of criminal elements.
The operation code named “Crocodile Smile” began over the weekend and has already recorded successes as some militants were arrested and two illegal refineries were closed down.
Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai while addressing the officers and soldiers urged them to act within the rules of engagement.
However, he said that if they encounter any militants they should ensure that they “clear their doubts”.
